Who is this class for?
The Intermediate glassblowing class elaborates on the techniques covered in the Beginner class and focuses on transitioning into more complex and detailed pieces.
It is perfect for those who want to advance their skills and expand their basic knowledge of glassblowing while having a fun day creating more elaborate pieces.
What will you be making?
You will learn new ways to advance your form and add simple accents to your pieces. Since the equipment and concepts are familiar, we can focus more on detailed techniques such as vortex marbles, lattachino ( encased spirals ), and shot glasses or blown spiral ornaments. The class can discuss which projects they would like to make with the instructor at the beginning and then the fun begins.
In this 1-day glass blowing class, you will create 4 blown and/or solid pieces depending on which projects are selected by the class.
Individual workstations and small groups
You will be working on individual stations with all materials, tools, and safety equipment included.
Groups for our glass-blowing classes are small, and they are limited to up to 6 students. So there is plenty of time for our experienced glassblowing instructors to guide you through all of the steps needed to create your first glass pieces.
